When is the Boot Sale on? 

  Weather permitting the boot sale will start at the beginning of April and will run every Sunday and bank holiday Monday, weather permitting, until October

What time does the boot sale open?

 The sale opens to sellers and buyers at 6am. 

 

How much does it cost?

 £5 for sellers and £1.50 per adult for buyers

Do I need to book a pitch?

 No need to book, just turn up and pay on the gate. To make sure you get a pitch we advise you to arrive by 7.30am

Can I sell edible items, food, home made cakes, or sweets?

If you would like to sell foodstuff of any sort, including home laid eggs please contact us through our facebook messenger, phone or email. Any person selling edible items must have the appropriate local authority registrations, food hygiene certificate and public liability insurance

Are there toilets at the boot sale? 

Yes there are toilets on site at the boot sale

 

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be on a lead at all times. Please pick up your dog poo and take it away with you, we have no bins or rubbish collection service. 

What can I do with items I don't sell?

Please take all your unsold items and rubbish home with you. One of the ways that we keep cost down is by not having to pay for a commercial rubbish collection service

What time can I leave if I am selling?

We ask our sellers to stay until 11am. This is to ensure the safety of our customers walking along rows. If there is an occasion when you know you will have to leave early please tell our staff when you arrive, so that they can park you in a location close to the exit. If you have an emergency and need to leave let one of our team know and we will guide you out.  

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE SOLD OR BROUGHT INTO ASHTON COMMON CAR BOOT SALE 

  • Counterfeit goods including DVDs, video games, designer clothes, bags, t/shirts etc.

  •   Stolen goods

  •   Live animals

  •   Real, replica or toy guns, or dangerous weapons

  •   Fireworks or anything that can cause fire

  •   Cigarettes, tobacco, vapes or alcohol

  •  ‘Fun Snaps’

  • Knives or sharp implements such as axes should not kept to the back of the stall and not on the ground or in general boxes. Must not be sold to persons under 18, sellers should ask for ID for anyone who looks under 25.
